How many cases should I buy?
To figure out how many cases you need, use this simple formula: 2 meals per day per person for 72 hours. Therefore, one case (12 meals) is enough food for 2 people for 72 hours, 2 cases is enough for 4 people, etc.
Is there a limit on how many cases of emergency food can be purchased?
If you want to order 48 or more cases, you'll need to visit our Volume Discounts department and contact a service representative.
Are there storage requirements for Ready Meals (MRE)?
Yes, they should be stored in a dry environment at a temperature of 80 degrees or less. They do not require refrigeration.
How long do they last? Is there an expiration date?
APack Ready Meals have a shelf life of up to 3 years when stored in the proper conditions (as noted above). There are "best when used by" dates on the case and all of the individual packs.
APack Ready Meals (MRE) reflect the latest in self-heating technology. The heater included with each emergency meal is a simple combination of powdered food grade iron and magnesium, salt, and water.
When water is poured onto the included heater pad, the heater releases enough heat to warm-up the pre-cooked meal to 100 degrees Fahrenheit in approximately 12 minutes.

Most, but not all orders leave our warehouse within 1-7 business days. Allow time from the day we ship for UPS or the USPS to deliver it to you from Upstate NY. Please call for rush orders before 2:00 Eastern time. That means that some items, to some locations could take two weeks or more. Remember, we're a 50 year old family run business, so feel free to call us for a rush. We can get most of our items out the same day and use next day air and get it to you tomorrow, but you need to call before 2:00 Eastern time.
