These are real military/civilian MRE's. These are not knock-offs that some other companies put together with standard food products that do not have long shelf lives. Some companies will put together their own "MRE" with inferior components and sell them for less, but they aren't real MRE's. All our MRE's are the real deal.
Why keep MRE handy?
MRE (Meals Ready to Eat) means that all the contents are fully cooked and can be eaten hot or cold. Each MRE has an average of 1,000-1,300 calories, which replicates the calorie count of a complete meal. There is no need to add water to an MRE. Simply open the pouch and enjoy! MREs are perfect for any outdoor use and/or emergency situation. Their aluminum thermo stabilized pouches provide a long shelf stable without refrigeration. Many private entities, law enforcement, hospitals, fire departments, FEMA, Red Cross and government agencies storage depend on MREs as a part of their emergency plan for food supplies.

At International Meals Supply, we have the capacity to manufacture high volumes of meals on a daily basis, we are equipped to operate 24/7 in an emergency situation, and have the logistics resources to air-drop meals in any part of the world, in a short period of time. MREs produced for the military are not permitted to be sold commercially to the general public. But ever since Y2K and natural disasters such as Hurricane Katrina, there has a been a strong demand for an "Meal, Ready to Eat" type of product that civilians can purchase. Pre-and post-Y2K, two companies, Sopakco and Wornick, produced a civilian MRE. Sopakco had the Sure-Pak and M-Packed MREs while Wornick offered the Mil-Spec MREs. Around 2001, Wornick dropped out of the civilian MRE business and Sopakco dropped the M-Packed line - leaving the "Sure-Pak 12" as the only civilian MRE available. There were other "wanna-be" civilians MREs out there but those were mostly MREs put together out of spare/old MRE parts and pieces.
Fortunately, around 2005, the civilian MRE market picked back up and more companies began producing legitimate, branded civilian MREs. All three of the major manufacturers of MREs for the military (Ameriqual, Sopakco, Wornick) now produce their own civilian MRE, too. Additionally, International Meals Supply, a certified supplier of emergency rations for the Department of Defense, has joined the civilian MRE race with their new "MREStar" product.
Besides the civilian MREs mentioned above, you might see some other MREs out there that I'll refer to as "fake", "homemade", or "wanna-be" civilian MREs. These MREs are put together in small batches by people or companies who buy up a few cases of MRE entrees and sides and other miscellaneous parts. They brand these MREs as "Meals, Ready to Eat" or "Field Rations" or something similar. But don't be fooled by these MREs, they will often sell for prices similar to the more legitimate civilian MREs but won't contain anywhere near the quantity or quality of product inside. - The previous few paragaghraphs were provided by MREInfo.com.

Most, but not all orders leave our warehouse within 1-7 business days. Allow time from the day we ship for UPS or the USPS to deliver it to you from Upstate NY. Please call for rush orders before 2:00 Eastern time. That means that some items, to some locations could take two weeks or more. Remember, we're a 50 year old family run business, so feel free to call us for a rush. We can get most of our items out the same day and use next day air and get it to you tomorrow, but you need to call before 2:00 Eastern time.
