A 50-80 ° F indoor temperature is required for this patch to produce.

This is a favorite cultivated mushroom in Japan.

Mushrooms can begin appearing 1-2 weeks after activation.

Shiitakes grow in cycles of 2 weeks (2 weeks growing, 2 weeks drying out, etc.) for a total of 16 weeks.

A person can harvest 3-4 crops of mushrooms, with a total of 1 to 3 pounds of fresh mushrooms.

The Patch is made from Alder sawdust and woodchips.

Mushrooms in general are relatively high in protein, averaging about 20% of their dried mass. Further, they contribute a wide range of essential amino acids. Low in fat (between .3 and 2%) and high in fiber, mushrooms also provide several groups of vitamins, particularly thiamine, riboflavin, niacin, biotin, and ascorbic acid. Please call for rush orders before 2:00 Eastern time. That means that some items, to some locations could take two weeks or more. Remember, we're a 50 year old family run business, so feel free to call us for a rush. We can get most of our items out the same day and use next day air and get it to you tomorrow, but you need to call before 2:00 Eastern time.
